SInce it's inception in 1995, the Missing Link Racing Team has acheived astounding results at both the elite and amateur level. From very humble beginnings, Missing Link Cycling has grown into a highly successful, nationally recognized team. The Missing Link racing program has benefitted from the enormous pool of talent found in the Bay Area. Several of Missing Link Team alumni have gone on to highly successful careers in the cycling world and beyond. Here are a few of our success stories:

Jennifer Klish

A former Missing Link Coop member, she went on to become a Pro Downhill racer and eventually became the first ever female mechanic on the Pro Downhill Circuit, as Lisa Shers(2002 National DH Champion) wrench.

Gina Hall

A charter member of ClifBar's Luna Chix Team. Gina has competed at the World Cyclocross Championships for the past two years as part of the US Team. She placed 13th at Zolder, Belgium in 2002, and 11th in Monopoli, in 2003!

Ben & Andy Jacques-Maynes

Once touted in VeloNews as "collegiate cycling's twins of terror", both Ben and Andy are accomplished cyclocross racers. In 2007, Ben will compete as a professional for the Priority Health Cycling Team.

Nicole Hahn

Nicole moved on from racing as a Missing Link Team member to become an independant filmmaker. Her work includes "Hardihood", a film about the world of Women's downhill racers, and is currently filming the mountain bike World Cup circuit for ClifBar.

Janie Dalton

Current Missing Link Team member, coach, and mother. 1998 NCS Expert National XC Champion and 1999 Masters XC World Championship bronze medalist.

Kate Maher

2002 Missing Link Team member, two time collegiate National Champion (road and mountain), Velonews 2001, 2002 "Collegiate Women Cyclist of the Year". Kate also won the Collegiate National cyclocross title at Domaine Chandon this past December.

Melodie Metzger

Melodie Metzger began her cycling career in college as a mountain biker, (rode for the Missing Link as an expert) quickly moving to the pro ranks and transitioning to cyclocross and road. She excels in her ability to find the proper wheel in the pack, making the break and closing the gaps with her punchy sprint.Melodie is a full time PhD student at Cal and balances her training with her education. Melodie still finds time to support the Nor Cal High School mountain bike league and getting juniors involved in cycling. Melodie now races for Vanderkitten.
